As long as I can remember really being into music there has been the great benefit concerts. No Nukes Concert, Live Aid, Farm Aid, Drug using hypocrite rockers in Moscow getting stoned, 9/11 Tribute, the Tsunami concert, Live 8, Live Earth have all come about when there was something big in the news. My question is what does Bob Geldof have in store for Myanmar?
You can almost bet that Sting and Bono will be involved with any project that is being put together for Myanmar. I am not sure either of them are going to willingly call it Myanmar though. The joint commercial will go something like this.

Florida – The Great American WTF

The land of sunshine, sharks and sermons we once again has the rest of the country scratching our heads and going “What the Fuck?” Along with their other recent decisions to encourage science teachers to teach alternate theories to evolution, denied them the right to teach anything but abstinence, and wants Christian themed license plates, they are now firing substitute teachers for Wizardry.
What sort of awful sorcery did the man bring down upon his temporary students? He made a toothpick disappear. He didn’t make his hand disappear up a girl’s skirt. He didn’t stare too long at boy’s ass in the shower. He didn’t down a bottle of pills or booze. He made a toothpick disappear using wizardry, something the Florida Christian community can’t seem to tolerate.
Once again a public institution that should be totally independent of religion has been corrupted by holy rollers. If this bothers you as much as it should then write, call, email here is the contact information for the school district in question.

WTF Is Up With Jason Castro – American Idol 5-6-08

Welcome once again Idol fans to another week of WTF. We are down to four hopefuls. David Cook is the best all around performer, but shouldn’t win because they won’t have his interests at heart when they cut his album. Syesha Mercado should have been gone a long time ago but is starting to shine, but tonight’s theme could be tough. Jason Castro is hanging around just to annoy Simon. Then there is David Archuleta who I am betting is going to win because there are too many bubble heads who just think he is swell. With the Rock Hall opening its doors to these kids pick bad songs with this kind of availability they deserve to be shot David cook is rocking out Duran Duran’s Hungry Like The Wolf. Coming out sans guitar he is taking a risk. This would have been a great song for him to show his shit, but it still sounds good. Randy says okay. Paula says it left her with big appetite. Simon points out that he didn’t make it his own.
Syesha picks Tina’s version of Proud Mary. Well this could be the first WTF of the night. She does look hot in that shiny silver dress. I wonder if it has the matching mirrored panties? She has the moves and sound pretty good after it speeds up, but the beginning was only okay for me. Randy thought she was in the zone. Paula thought she looked like a star. Simon hated it, thinking it was a bad Tina Turner impersonation. Her attitude has changed in dealing with the judges too. She has become more gracious.

Cinco De Mayo has come and gone and you probably have forgotten all about it, unless you are hung over. After my small rant on Cinco de Mayo I wondered what how I could follow up the chastisement a lot of Americans deserve for their racial attitudes and unfortunately I have found it today.
We say farewell to Mildred Loving today. This is a woman who didn’t want to be a hero, only a bride. However with her fight for racial equality in the arena of marriage made her a hero many times over. Her challenge and win in the Supreme Court overturned all the laws that prohibited interracial marriage. For that a bride is a hero.

What would your Tuesday with Brad be without a little perspective from Google?
As we get closer to wrapping up American Idol for the season and probably forever, William Hung has hit the Top 100 searches again. So where is William Hung? At the moment the ex-Idol hopeful is working on a Math degree and UC Northridge with hopes of becoming a math teacher.
With no big surprise mystery illnesses on House last night nothing jumps out of the Google Trends page from there. I am going through the entries never the less and find is Courtney Henggeler is currently rated in the “Volcanic” for hotness on Google. Of course after “Bog Creatures” it is surprising no one tossed this hottie in a volcano.
We all knew Roger Clemens was a rock star of baseball.
